Non smoking ash tray?

Check it out. One of my friends stayed in a hotel with this ash tray in the room. Why would the hotel even bother putting a ash tray upside down with the non smoking symbol in a non smoking room. It seems kind of ironic. Maybe the room changes from a non smoking to a smoking room on occasion. Anyway I thought it was quite humorous and wanted to share.
